Airport in Amsterdam

So I'm chillin' in the food court of the airport in Amsterdam. My flight doesn't leave for Heathrow for another three hours and I didn't feel like shopping so I've busted out the laptop. So with Copenhagen and Amsterdam I saw both the Carlsburg brewery and the Heineken brewery! Hurray beer! Copenhagen itself I wasn't overly impressed with after being in Stockholm but that could have been partly that google maps gave me the wrong directions to my hotel and I spent a half a hour walking in the opposite direction. Oh yeah it was raining too! But the weather cleared up and it turned into a pretty enjoyable afternoon walking around the city. Saw a windmill and the famous mermaid so I'd saw it was a successful stop in Denmark. The train from Copenhagen to Amsterdam was quite good, probably because this time I had a bed for a night train and slept a good eight hours. It also came with a german style breakfast, which I didn't know how much I missed since my stay there six weeks ago. The Heineken Brewery was probably the highlight of Amsterdam. We tried to go to the Anne Frank House but the line was over teo hours long so we ended up walking around the canals and finding a cheap Italian restaurant that you could get pizzas for five Euros. So after I get into London I'll be heading out to Oxford to finish packing up and hitting a few more pubs for the last time. I'll make it a point to go out and finally see that nunnery that I've been wanting to see the whole trip but haven't told any of you about. Lastly I'll may or may not have time to update pictures before I head back to the old U S of A, just a heads up.

Slightly delayed post (8/15/07)

So I’m on the train to Copenhagen from Stockholm. Right now we are picking up more people at Linköping Central Station. The train says it has internet, and I can get the internet to come up on Firefox though the instructions on how to access it are all in Swedish! So needless to say I’ll have to be posting this when I get to Copenhagen. The Swedish countryside is just so beautiful! Little red and yellow houses along side lakes and meadows. Stockholm in general was better than Helsinki the the one day I sent in both cities. Helsinki has the feel of a small town where Stockholm is just huge! The old town in Stockholm was definitely the best. Well I’m going to watch Casino Royale for what seems to be the hundredth time this trips so far. Cheers.

On the Oxford Tube

Long time no blog and do apologize for that.

So I'm sitting on the OxfordTube heading to London for the day. This will be my third time to London this trip, but I still haven't hit up everything that I want to see.

So my month in Oxford has been going really well. Yesterday we went to Portsmouth and toured the HMS Victory and enjoyed a wonderful day in sun. Last weekend we made it up to Scotland and toured Edinbourgh castle and then took a train to Inverness and had a boat tour down Loch Ness. Meaghan sorry but my phone died after the epic trip over here and I didn't find a charger until I got back from Scotland so I couldn't look up your family name and I apologize for that.

I'm going to quickly skim over the rest of my adventures here quickly since I feel my picture page has kept you guys somewhat up to date. I finally got my bag about two weeks ago a so I finally have a coat and tie, also I've been greatly enjoying the pubs. Anyways talk to all of you soon and enjoy your Saturday.
